What it is like

A tree. It grows 20 m tall. The trunk can be 40 cm across. The leaves are simple and opposite. They are narrowly oblong and 8-15 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. The base is wedge shaped and the edges are curved. There are 1-3 flowers in a group in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. The fruit is a round capsule 2.5 cm across.

Also put in the family Calophyllaceae.
