The flowers are yellow with red veins. They are are the end of the plant and have bright green bracts. The fruit is a pod. It has 4-7 segments and it is more narrow between them. It is covered with spiny bristles.

There are about 75 Zornia species. They are tropical. Also as Papilionaceae.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It grows in sandy soils and grasslands and floodplains.
