What it is like

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. The stems can be 45 cm long. The leaves are twice divided. The upper leaflets are oval and 2.5 cm long by 1 cm wide. Leaflets on lower leaves are smaller and rounder. The flowers are yellow and can have red veins. The fruit is a pod 2 cm long and has 6 seeds. The pod has stiff bristles.

There are about 80 Zornia species. They are tropical.

It is a tropical plant. It grows from sea level to 1,700 m above sea level.
