What it is like
A ginger herb. The rhizomes are creeping. They are 1 cm across. The false stems are 30-60 cm tall. The leaves are oblong and 20-30 cm long by 6-8 cm wide. The flowering shoots arise from the rhizome. They are 4-5 cm long with many flowers.
