What it is like
A pumpkin family herb. It has a stout vine 4-10 m long. The stems are 2-3 mm across. The leaves are oval and 5-15 cm long by 4-11 cm wide. They can have 3 lobes. Male and female flowers are separate. The fruit occur singly on a long stalk. They are 2-4 cm long by 1-1.5 cm wide. The fruit are red when ripe.

It is a tropical plant. It grows up to 1,000m above sea level.
