What it is like
An annual herb. It can be erect or lie along the ground. It grows 15 cm tall. It is branched from the base. The stems are slender and have lines along them. There are leaves at the base. These are oval and bright green above and paler underneath. There are teeth along the edge. The flowers are in small groups at the top of the plant and can have bracts. The flowers are tube shaped and 25 mm long. They are reddish-brown outside and yellow inside. The fruit is a broad oval capsule with 2 valves. The seeds are small and pale brown. They are almost 4 sided.
