What it is like

A bamboo. It grows 4-8 m tall. The culms are 2-4 cm across. The internodes are 22-28 cm long. There are 3-7 branches at each node. There are 3-5 leaves on the last branch. The leaf blade is 10-18 cm long by 2 cm wide.

Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows in Yunnan in China between 2,700-3,600 m altitude.
