What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1-3 m tall. The leaves are 2-7 cm long by 3-7 mm wide. The flowers usually occur singly or in groups of 2 or 3 and flowers are 5-6 mm across. The fruit are round or oval capsules 4-5 mm across. The seeds are brown to black and 3-5 mm long.

It is a tropical plant. It grows from sea level to 900 m above sea level.
