What it is like
A single stemmed palm. It grows 10 m tall. The trunk can be 25 cm across. The leaves are fan shaped. There is a dense white wool on the frond bases and stalks. The fronds are green. The leaf stalks and veins are bright yellow or orange. The flowering shoot comes between the leaves. The fruit are oval and plum like. They are 5 cm long. There are 3 seeds.

A tropical plant. It grows on coastal cliffs and savannah country. It suits hardiness zones 10-12. In Townsville Queens BG and palmetum.
