What it is like

A small spreading shrub. It lies along the ground or can be 1 m high. It spreads 1-2.5 m wide. The young growth has silky hairs. The leaves are 0.3-0.7 cm long by 0.1 cm wide. The flower heads are 2 cm across.

There are about 35 Kunzea species. They grow in Australia.


Where it is found

It grows in alpine regions. It grows among granite rocks or in wet sandy heaths. It is hardy to frost and snow.
