What it is like

A herb or low shrub. The roots are slender and woody. The flowering stems are erect and 4-12 cm tall. The leaves are the base are 2-3 cm long. The leaves on the stem have 3 leaflets that are narrowly oval and 1-2 cm long by 4-8 mm wide. There are 1-2 flowers together at the ends of the branches. The flowers are 2-3 cm across. The petals are yelow.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows on the edges of forests and in alpine meadows between 2,700-3,600 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
