What it is like
A herb which keeps growing from year to year. The stems are 1 m tall. They do not have branches. The leaf stalk of the leaves at the base are 7 cm long. They are shorter higher up. The leaf blade near the base is oval or heart shaped and 4.5-8.5 cm long by 3.5-5 cm wide. The upper leaves are more sword shaped and are edges are curved inwards. There are 4-14 flowers. The flowers are yellow or white.
There are about 50 Lamium species.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. In China it grows in fields and waste places between 800-2600 m altitude. In Sichuan.
