What it is like
A tree. It grows 27 m tall. The trunk is 25 cm across. The leaves are crowded behind the tips of the small branches. They are narrowly oval. The leaves are 6-22 cm long by 2-10 cm wide. The flowers are in groups of 40-150. The fruit are green berries and 2-3 mm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in rainforest and cloud forest. It grows between 300-1,300 m above sea level.
