What it is like
A medium sized tree. It grows 30 m tall. It loses its leaves during the year. The trunk is straight and the branches are slender. They droop. The bark is red-brown and peels in rounded flakes. The leaves are twice divided. There is one pair of pinnae 7-30 cm long and 3-7 pairs of leaflets on each. There are about 90 flowers in a group. The flowers are white. They have a slight scent. The fruit is a pod that is curved and 10-17 cm long by 4-6 cm wide. There are 6-10 seeds. These are flat and 11-20 mm long by 7-12 mm wide. They are dark brown.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests near Chiang Mai Thailand. It grows up to 700 m above sea level.
