What it is like

A climber. It grows 5 m long. The leaves are oblong and 4-20 cm long by 1-5 cm wide. They are yellowish underneath. The flowers are in the axils of leaves and there can be 1 or 2 flowers. They have a scent. They are yellow. The fruit are 4-5 cm long by 4 cm wide. There are 9-16 seeds.

There are about 60 Fissistigma species.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It grows in montane forests edges or scrub between 100-800 m altitude in southern China.
