What it is like
A shrub. The stems are prickly. The leaves are unequal and almost without stalks. The larger leaf has long lobes and the opposite leaf is smaller. The flowers are blue or white and in groups. The fruit are large yellow to orange berries.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the lowland Amazon rainforest. It has been recorded up to 1,800 m above sea level.
