What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1 m high. It has scales and hairs. The young branches are 4 sided. The leaves are opposite and sword shaped. They are 5-13 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. The leaf stalks are 5-10 cm long. The fruit are urn shaped capsules. They are 6-8 mm long and 5-7 mm wide. There are many seeds.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in Hainan.
