What it is like
A herb. The leaves are 9 cm long by 1 cm wide. They are sword shaped and taper to the tip. The sheath is 2 cm long and open with hairs. The fruit is a 2-celled capsule that is constricted in the middle. There are 4 seeds that are 2 mm long.
There are about 230 Commelina species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in damp or moist places. In Yunnan.
