What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 5-15 m tall. Young branches are rather thick. The leaves are broadly oval and 6-11 cm long by 4-7 cm wide. There are 1-2 flowers in each axil of the leaves and the flowers have 5 parts. The fruit are 2 cm long by 1 cm wide. They are slightly narrowed towards the base. The seeds are light brown and 1 cm long

There are about 40 Coffea species. It is an at risk plant.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It is located in the Taita Hills in Kenya.
