What it is like
A woody vine. It grows 6 m long. The leaves are arranged in spirals and are heart shaped. The flowers are in a tendril in the axils of leaves. They have a scent. The fruit is a round berry 4-5 cm across. It is green with white stripes when young and orange to yellow when ripe.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in well-drained rich loamy soil up to 2,000 m above sea level.
