What it is like
A large tree. It loses its leaves during the year. It grows 15-25 m high. The trunk can be 1 m across. The bark is grey and deeply cracked. The young branches have soft hairs. The leaves have leaflets along the stalk. There are 9-11 leaflets. The one at the end is narrowly oval and the side ones are oval and oblique. They are 4-13 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. They are hairy. Male and female flowers are on separate trees and are red brown. The fruit are oblong and 2.5 cm long by 1.5 cm wide.
