What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 6 m tall. The branches are flattened or 4 sided. The leaves are opposite. They are oblong and 6-20 cm long by 3-10 cm wide. The flowers are tube shaped. The fruit is an oval capsule 1.5 mm by 2-2.5 mm.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In China it grows from 200-2,800 m above sea level.
