What it is like
A small evergreen tree. It grows 12-24 m tall. The trunk is 8 m tall. The bark is yellow to grey and splits into irregular flakes. The leaves are narrowly oval and wedge shaped at the base. They are 3-10 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. They are very shiny above. The flowers are yellow to green and have 3 bracts around them. The flowers are 3-5 mm long. The fruit is a green berry. It is round and has a waxy coating. It is 12-15 mm across.

It is a tropical plant. It grows at low altitudes from sea level to 400 m above sea level.
