What it is like
A tree. It grows 22 m tall. It can be a shrub 5 m tall. The leaves usually have 3 leaflets. The middle leaflet is the largest. The leaf stalks are 1-3.5 cm long. The flower panicle is loose. It can be 18 cm long by 12 cm wide. The stalk is 5-6 cm long. The fruit is oval and fleshy. It is 1 cm long by 0.8 cm wide. The pulp is edible. It has a bad smell.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in upland rainforest especially on granite or bauxite.
