What it is like

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows about 60-100 cm tall and is branched. The stems are angular and swollen at the nodes. The leaves are opposite and unequal but oval. The flowers are purple. They are trumpet shaped and 3-4 cm long. They have 2 lips. The upper one has 4 lobes and the lower lip is dark violet.

It is considered to have good medicinal properties.
