What it is like
A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It has an underground stem or rhizome up to 20 cm long and 1.5-2.5 mm wide. The creeping stems are 15-20 cm long and they are slender. The leaves are alternate and oval to triangle shaped and 2-5 cm long by 1.5-3 cm wide. The flowers are violet to light purple.
