What it is like

The segments are stiff and extend half way to the leaf stalk. The leaves are bluish-green. They are thick and leathery. The fruit are brown and round. They are 1.2 cm across.

There are 28 Livistona species.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows in sandstone ravines where groundwater is available. It needs sun. It needs a well drained soil. It suits hardiness zones 10-12.
