What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It loses its leaves during the year. It grows 5 m tall. The leaves are opposite and 4-7 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. The flowers are in a compound group at the top or end of the branches. They are white. The fruit are red. They are oval and 6 mm long by 4 mm wide.
There are about 150 Viburnum species. Also put in the family Caprifoliaceae.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in open forests and scrub between 100-1,000 m above sea level in southern China.
