What it is like
A tree. It grows 17-20 m tall. The leaves are papery and dark dull green above and dull green underneath. They have yellow veins. The fruit turn brown when ripe. The fruit have one seed. There is an orange fleshy covering over the seed.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It has been recorded between 800-1,200 m above sea level in Venezuela.
