What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1.5 m tall. The bark cracks lengthwise. The twigs are angled. The leaves are oval to round and 0.9-1.9 cm long by 0.5-1.8 cm wide. The flowering shoots are near the end and have 10-20 flowers. The fruit is a berry 6-8 mm across. It is purple.
