What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 1-7 m tall. It keeps its leaves throughout the year and the stems have brownish hairs. The leaves are scattered and have brown hairs. The leaves are oval and 4-13 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowering groups are 4-6 cm long with many flowers. The fruit is a round berry 4-5 mm across. It is hairy.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in mountain forests between 400-1,400 m above sea level in southern China.
