What it is like
An attractive shrub. It grows 1.2 m tall. The branches arch over. The young branches are light green when grown in the shade and red in the sunlight. The leaves are long and sword shaped. They are 2.5 cm long and 5 mm wide. The leaves turn bright red in the autumn. The flowers are small and pale pink to white. The fruit are small, hard berries.
