What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1-4 m tall. It can be taller as a small tree. The twigs are narrowly angled. The leaves are scattered and oblong to oval. They are 5-13 cm long by 2-5 cm wide. They are leathery. The fruit is dark purple and has 10 lumps. The fruit are 4-12 mm across.
