What it is like
A tree. It grows 26 m tall. The trunk is 90 cm across. The bark is grey and cracked along its length. The leaves are oval and 6-18 cm long by 3-9 cm wide.
Where it is found
In China it grows between 1,500-2,900 m above sea level. It grows in Sichuan and Yunnan.
