What it is like
A herb or small shrub. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows 0.3-1.8 m tall. The leaves are oval or sword shaped. The flowers are in dense clusters and are yellow. The fruit capsule is 5-6 mm across. It is covered with hooked bristles.
These have also been in the Tiliaceae.

It is a subtropical plant.
