What it is like
A herb or small shrub. It grows 1-3 m tall. The branches are 4 sided. The leaves are opposite and broadly oval. They are 1-3 cm long by 4-8 cm wide. The flowers are at the top of the plant. They are white or pink. The nutlets are broadly oval and 5 mm long by 4 mm wide.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows on hillsides and in thickets and forests between 500-2,200 m above sea level. It grows in Yunnan in China.
