What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-12 m tall. The trunk is 5-12 cm across. Young leaves and twigs can have brown scales. The leaves are narrowly oval and 12-29 cm long by 3-7 cm wide. The flowers are yellow and red on the inner part of the petals. The fruit are green and turn yellow then red as they ripen.
