What it is like

A deciduous tree. It grows 10 m high. The branches are hairy. The leaves are oval and 8-10 cm long. The fruit occur as 2-6 in a cluster. The nuts are 1-2 cm across. Probably now Corylus fargesii.


Where it is found

It grows in central and western China in valleys between 900-2,200 m altitude.
