What it is like
A tree. It grows 10-18 m high. The trunk can be 47 cm across. The trunk can have small buttresses. The crown is small and dense. The dark is an orange brown. The leaves are arranged in spirals. The leaf blades are oval and 7-17 cm long by 4-11 cm wide. They are rough and the base is wedge shaped. Trees are separately male and female. The fruit are round and green. They are 4-5 cm across. They turn orange as they ripen. The seeds are bean shaped.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in peat swamp forest. It grows up to 1,900 m above sea level.
