What it is like
A lily. It is a herb and a bulb plant. It grows to about 1.5 m high. The leaves do not have leaf stalks. They are alternate. They are 7.5-15 cm long by 0.5-0.8 cm wide. They are narrow and taper to the tip. The flowers are white and have a scent. They are large and produced singly.
There are about 100 Lilium species.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. In Nepal it grows between 1100-2000 m altitude. In grows in moist, shady places.
