What it is like
A straggling shrub. It grows about 2 m high. The leaves have stalks. They are alternate. The leaves are 3-12.5 cm long by 2.7-19.5 cm wide. They are circular and lobed with the edges incised. They are slightly hairy on both surfaces. The base is heart shaped. The flowers are white. The fruit is red.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. In Nepal plants grown from 2200-3000 m altitude. They grow in thickets in shady places on the edges of forest. In Yunnan.
