What it is like

A herb. It can lie along the ground. It can grow to 2 m high. The stem and branches are wiry. The leaves are narrowly oval and 5-13 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. The flowers can be in the axils of the leaves or at the top of the stems. They form a broad spreading group 25 cm long by 26 cm wide.

It is a tropical plant. It grows between 800-1,800 m above sea level. It can grow in arid places.
