What it is like

A small tree. It grows 3-5 m tall. The bark is dark grey. It has straight long shoots with spurs. The leaves are on the spur shoots. The leaf blades are 1 cm long by 0.5 cm wide. There are 3 pairs of side veins. The flowers are in a spike 1.5 cm long. The fruit are reddish. They are 2-3 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.

There are about 200-250 Terminalia species. They are tropical. It is an unresolved name in The Plant List.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. In Somalia it grows between 60-870 m above sea level.
