What it is like

A herb. It grows 15-25 cm tall. The leaf stalks are purple. The leaves are greyish green with a purple central vein. The leaves are narrowly sword shaped and 8-13 cm long by 1-4 cm wide. They are usually divided into lobes along the stalk. There are 3-4 pairs of lobes. The flower heads are 3 cm wide.

There are 50-60 Taraxacum species.


Where it is found

It is a temperate plant. It grows along roadsides and in grasslands in north China between 100-400 m above sea level.
