What it is like

A shrub. It grows 40-120 cm tall. The leaves are alternate and needle like. They are 3-5 mm long by 0.2-0.5 mm wide. The flowers can be in the axils of the leaves or at the ends of branches. The flowers are tube shaped and light coloured.

There are about 25 Fabiana species. They grow in the warm temperate parts of South America. It has antibacterial properties.


Where it is found

It is a warm temperate plant. In Argentina it grows between 2,700-4,500 m above sea level.
