What it is like
A tree. It loses its leaves during the year. The leaves are narrowly oblong. They are dark green above and pale underneath. The flowers are white and in groups near the end of branches. The fruit are oblong and purplish-black.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. In the Himalayas it grows up to 1,000 m above sea level.
