What it is like

A medium sized tree. It grows 12 m tall. The bark is greyish pink. The young branches are 4 sided. The leaves are simple and opposite. They are broadly sword shaped and 3-7 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The flowers are small and white. They are in groups near the ends of branches. The fruit is round and 7-8 mm across. They are pink to purple.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It has been recorded and 2,000 m in southern India.
