What it is like
A palm. It is very small and grows 20 cm -1 m tall. Its underground section is 10-20 cm long. The leaves are 1.2 m long. They are blue underneath. The fruit are nearly round and pale yellow to reddish-brown. They are 3.5 cm long by 2.5 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It usually grows in rocky places with well drained soil and above 1,000 m above sea level.
