What it is like
A tree. It grows 30-40 m high. The leaves are broadly oval and 13-30 cm long. The ripe fruit are small in size and with white flesh.

Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in dense forests. They grow in the humid tropics. It often grows on rocky soils. In Thailand it grows up to 200 m above sea level.

How it is used for food
Young leaves and young fruit are eaten as a vegetable. The ripe fruit are not popular.
