What it is like
A tree. It grows 45=53 m tall. The trunk is 120 cm across and the branches are 30 m above ground level. It can have small buttresses. The leaves are oblong. The flowers are in loose groups near the ends of branches. The flowers are white to yellowish. The fruit are an oblique oval shape. They are 10-11 cm long and brownish-green with brown spots or lenticels. They are very acidic.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in evergreen lowland rainforests on well-drained soils up to 1,000 m above sea level.
